Beaches in Israel are not just places where people come to swim and sunbathe. In a country that sits on the shores of four seas, beaches are a special culture for the local population. Here friends meet on the beautiful embankments, go in for sports, go for a swing, go surfing, and, of course, arrange incendiary parties. 1. DEAD SEA BEACH IN ISRAEL
One of the most specific reservoirs, it is located at the lowest point of our planet (approximately 422 meters below sea level). The salt concentration is very high - 33.7%, which makes the Dead Sea the saltiest on Earth. The water here is full of healing minerals, which are especially beneficial for people with skin diseases. Pack your bags and head to the popular Kalia Beach with changing rooms, showers, sun loungers, shaded areas, and bars. Take a complimentary mud bath, covered in healing mud from head to toe.
2. APOLLONIA NATIONAL PARK
Apollonia is included in the list of the best beaches in Israel for a reason. Medieval ruins are overlooking the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Hiking trails, scenic cliffs - this is a great place just a short drive from Tel Aviv. A great place for a romantic date or a family walk.
3. GORDON BEACH, TEL AVIV
In Tel Aviv, on Gordon Beach, you will find absolutely everything your heart desires. It has a volleyball court, saltwater pool, swing, and dozens of restaurants serving the famous Israeli Breakfast, fresh fish, or one of the many salads. After sunset, you can visit the beach bar, enjoy the sea air, the view, and the aircraft landing at Ben Gurion Airport. Also, the parties of world-famous DJs take place here. It is not so easy to find a hotel right by the beach at an affordable price, but not for those who know how to save money on hotel accommodation.
4. BORA BORA BEACH, TIBERIUS
Don't be discouraged by the paid entrance to Bora Bora Beach in Tiberias, believe me, this beautiful place is worth every shekel spent. The beach owners have invested heavily on the beach, making it an ideal holiday destination. It is located on the Tiberias Lake, which is also called the Sea of Galilee, and from the locals, you will probably hear the name Kinneret. The beach is equipped with everything you need, besides several bars are serving delicious dishes, and not far away, on the promenade, is the best fish restaurant in Tiberias.
5. PALMACHIM BEACH
Palmachim Beach is a short drive from Bat Yam. This is not the largest beach, and of the amenities, there are only toilets and, of course, a lifeguard tower. However, Palmachim has not been added to Israel's finest beaches for nothing. Stunning views, sand, large space for beach sports or picnics await you. 6. MOSH BEACH, EILAT
We move to the hottest point in Israel - Eilat, Mosh beach. A huge number of restaurants, hotels, beach bars, and other resort entertainment await you in Eilat. Mosh Beach, overlooking the Jordan Mountains, is one of the most romantic destinations in Israel. Crystal clear sea, fish, delicious food, and reasonable prices. If you are planning to visit exclusively the Red Sea, there is an airport in Eilat. If you have already found cheap flights to Tel Aviv, you can get there in several ways: by plane, by train, by bus, and it is best to rent a car and enjoy the beauty of the Negev Desert. Do you like water sports? Hilton Beach is what you need. Kayaking lessons including lessons for children and beginners and of course windsurfing. This Tel Aviv beach with fine dining is of course adjacent to the luxury Hilton Tel Aviv hotel. If you are in Tel Aviv, by no means miss this place!
8. AQUEDUCT, CAESAREA. THE BEACH THAT WON'T GET TO THE BEST BEACHES IN ISRAEL
On the beach near the ancient city of Caesarea, there is an aqueduct built in 66 AD. This is a unique place steeped in history with picturesque views and architectural monuments, some of them over 2000 years old. Port, theater, Herod's Palace, Hippodrome, Temple of Augustus and Roma, Roman baths, and many other exciting buildings make this place one of the best beaches in Israel.
9. AKHZIV NATIONAL PARK BEACH
Achziv National Park is located in one of the northernmost points of Israel. Artifacts dating back to 1500 BC have been found in these places. Another place to enjoy the stunning beaches of the Mediterranean. For one, you can visit the excavations of the oldest ruins in the history of mankind.
10. OLD JAFFA BEACH
Ajami Beach is located just south of the old city of Jaffa. If you like small, quiet beaches and don't like to travel far from the city, this is the place for you. Not far from the beach is the Church of the Apostle Peter.
11. BARNEA BEACH, ASHKELON
A truly amazing place to stay, especially if you arrive in May when there are few people on the beach. You can get to Barnea beach by walking along the Ashkelon embankment, going down a small staircase. A few hundred meters to the south, under the very cliff, you can find a very beautiful wild beach. 12. SHAVEI ZION BEACH
This miniature beach is the perfect retreat. Cozy promenade, bar, and the diving club just twenty kilometers from Haifa. Just a minute from the beach there is a complex of small villas Dolphin Village with excellent prices and a private courtyard for each room. Fans of varied breakfasts are advised to visit the Breakfast Club.
