Psyduck Music Festival Rave

Psyduck was an underground trance music festival that took place between Kibbutz Nir Oz and Kibbutz Nirim fields, about 2 kilometers from the Gaza Strip. This small music festival hosted about 110 participants. On October 7th, 2023 morning, as part of the surprise attack on Israel, the Hamas Terror Organization attacked the Psyduck festival, killing 18 Israelis.

The Psyduck music festival was held every two months before the attack, and the location of the party like the case of the Nova festival, was kept a secret. Even the organizers didn't know where the party would take place until 5-6 hours before it started. This is the trendy thing among the community of the trance raves.

Moshe Amzaleg who organized the Psydack music festival in 2023 chose a location very close to his home, between Kibbutz Nir Oz and Nirim, this spontaneous rave didn't require any military protection or police supervision since nobody knew about its existence. Most likely if it was official, then security and permits would be a must.

The Psydak party began at approximately midnight between October 6 and 7, 2023, and at 06:29 a.m. massive rocket fire began from the Gaza Strip, and the participants realized that there was an unusual event here, according to the testimony of one of the survivors, after a Hamas terrorist glided over the site with a parachute and reported that there were people there, a few minutes later, Hamas terrorists arrived on the scene on motorcycles and vans. Some of the participants fled to the main road 232 and the rest hid in the bushes, waiting for the IDF.

The story of this music rave is less familiar than the Nova case, Out of all 100 people who participated in the festival and fled to the road, shelters, and surrounding kibbutzim, 18 people were murdered.
