Mini Israel Park - Explore Israel Through Miniatures

Park "Mini Israel"

PARK MINI ISRAEL TEL AVIV

Miniature parks are one of the varieties of museums, where famous historical, architectural, and natural objects of one or several countries at once are collected in an exactly reduced copy. The first private parks appeared presumably in the 19th century. Initially, miniature models of buildings and figurines of people were used to decorate garden railways. Later, public copy museums began to be built. The very first of them appeared in 1930 in Great Britain.

Now such complexes are widespread all over the world, and their popularity is growing inexorably from year to year. One of the largest miniature museums in the world is the Mini Israel Park in the small town of Latrun. Opened in November 2002, it is rightfully considered one of the most popular tourist sites in the country. This grandiose project makes it possible not only to feel like a Gulliver among the Lilliputians but also to get acquainted with the main sights of Israel in just one day.

What to see in Mini Israel Park?

Park "Mini Israel" is a unique open-air museum project that allows you to travel across the Holy Land in a short time.

"Mini Israel" is made in the form of a six-pointed star of David, each triangle of which symbolizes a city or region of the country. All expositions of the park are of historical, cultural, and ethnic value. The location of the models of buildings, roads, and landmarks fully correspond to the originals while maintaining their proportions On the vast territory of the museum complex, there are more than three hundred and fifty miniature models of buildings, iconic architectural objects, and sights, about five hundred animals and the same number of cars, three dozen planes and almost two hundred ships.

Most of the exhibits are mobile. Separately, it is worth noting the mechanized figures of people, repeating scenes from real life with high accuracy. There are about thirty thousand of them in the park. The creators of the exhibits strove to ensure that all residents of "Mini-Israel" look as believable as possible. Therefore, in small dolls, you can see representatives of different nationalities, ages, professions, and religions. The overwhelming majority of replicas are made on a scale of 1:25.

All elements of the park are unique and handcrafted by top-class specialists. You cannot find here a random faceless building, or, for example, two identical figures of people. The materials from which the models are made are environmentally friendly, which allows you to visit the museum with small children without fear of health. Much attention in the park is directed to the landscaping of the territory.

There are about 50,000 plants planted inside, including dwarf ones. Many species of trees were bred by botanists specifically for the exhibition complex. The plant watering system is fully automated and controlled by a computer. In general, Mini Israel Park is a real work of art and a great place to relax with the whole family.

How to get to Mini Israel Park?

Park "Mini Israel" is located in the vicinity of the small town of Latrun, 40 kilometers from Tel Aviv and 50 kilometers from Jerusalem. Getting to the museum is not difficult by bus, rented car, or private cars with a driver.

Renting a car with a driver is one of the most convenient and inexpensive ways to get around the country. Moreover, the main highways and highways connecting large cities are distinguished by high-quality coverage. The distance from the main international airport of Israel named after Ben Gurion, located in Tel Aviv, to the park is 30 kilometers.

The route from the airport to "Mini Israel" runs along with road number 1 or number 424 in the northeast direction. These two highways run almost parallel to each other, so there is no fundamental difference in which one to choose. The average journey time is 30 minutes.
